95 Points James Halliday
Despite low yields, a note about this from Kathleen Quealy and winemaker son Tom McCarthy says, 'small bunches, small berries, bloody tasty.' Ah yes, this is bloody tasty chardonnay. It has a certain power and opulence, yet reined in by fine acidity ensuing it’s just right. Stone fruit, citrus, ginger and a dash of oak spice all in the mix alongside a millefeuille of nutty, creamy lees and texture. Savoury, moreish with a lingering finish – a terrific drink. Drink 2023 - 2032.
