88 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; a powerful, concentrated oak-driven bouquet is followed by a palate with rich dark fruits, chocolate, soft tannins and massive American oak. Both the style and the price will doubtless appeal to some more than others. Drink to 2009.

Influential American wine critic Robert Parker Jnr awared the 1997 La Testa Shiraz 98 points and compared it to the "famed Clarendon Hills luxury cuvee of 100% shiraz called Astralis." The 1999 La Testa Shiraz is another superb example of the extraordinary wine-making talent of Tony De Lisio.
