Huon Hooke
Slightly musty, a bit flat on the bouquet. Edgy, leafy, muffled. Query slight TCA (cork taint). This is reputedly a top vintage, so I suspect this is not a good bottle.

Medium purple-red; the bouquet offers a mix of ripe cassis, blackberry and raspberry aromas with subtle but evident oak. The long, even palate has near-identical cassis and blackberry flavours, supported by fine, lingering tannins and subtle oak. Reflects the '98 vintage; by the standards of Mount Mary, quite full. Drink to 2013.
