Medium purple-red; the bouquet is fine, with moderately sweet berry fruit, and the oak, as always, beautifully balanced and integrated. The palate is of medium intensity with clean red berry fruits followed by fine but persistent tannins. Should offer good drinking in the first few years of the next century. Drink to 2006.
