Huon Hooke
Deep dark red/brick-red colour, with a lifted red fruit and smoky earthy aged bouquet; some roasting meat. The palate is mellow and soft with pronounced acidity. The tannins are a trifle chunky too. Slightly unbalanced in its acid and tannin.

93 Points James Halliday
Very good red-purple; firm, classic blackcurrant and earth varietal character in the mainstream of Coonawarra; the palate is powerful and rich, with blackberry, mulberry and blackcurrant fruit flavours held together in a strongly structured wine; plenty of tannins, and the oak is by no means overplayed. Drink to 2015.
