Good ripe cabernet nose: smoky toasty barrel ferment-type oak; complex. Sweeter and earthier, more black-olive and savoury notes, not just blackcurrants. Tight firm palate with abundant grip; tight and tidy. On the firm, almost tough side. Very good for this year. Needs time: now to 12+ years.
