Lovely elegant wine, very cabernet and showing great finesse. Superfine tannins. It's drinking in its prime right now.

Excellent hue though not particularly deep; a classic, understated Mount Mary style, beautiful fruit/oak/tannin balance; cassis and blackcurrant dominate, then silky tannins on a very long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Malbec/Petit Verdot. Drink to 2024.

"This is the kind of Quintet that, if it were a Bordeaux, you’d call “classically styled”.
It’s quite acidic, despite its ripeness, with medium-weight, mulberried fruit flecked with flavours of dry tobacco and pencil and cedar. It’s been built to drink at maturity, not to drink as a young wine - like an old-fashioned Claret. A juicy, tart finish - I have no doubt that it will be good, and elegant, and lovely in time."
