Huon Hooke
Deep, dark colour, with a rich bouquet featuring lamb fat, savoury and full-bodied, the palate again very savoury and the finish drying. It's rather plain - not the finest of the line.

92 Points James Halliday
A delicious wine; generous, supple blackcurrant fruit bolstered by fine, ripe tannins and judicious oak; long finish. Drink to 2020.
James Halliday. June, 2021
Produced from only the top 25% of available cabernet grapes, this wine has a long-established reputation for displaying excellent Coonawarra cabernet varietal definition and exceptionally high wine quality. When young, the wine is redolent of cassis and other red berry fruits with a strong background of charry oak. Ground coffee, dark chocolate and mint descriptors are often used.
With bottle age, cedar, cigar box and new leather characters enrich the developed bouquet. Under good cellaring conditions this wine will age gracefully for many years.
