Huon Hooke
Deepish red-purple colour. Rich, ripe, chocolate and earthy toasty vanilla aromas, some oak still evident. Red and dark fruits, with dark predominating. No leafiness but still very cabernet-like. Rich, fleshy and dense, concentrated and powerful, lots of attack and muscle, but also loads of fruit. Very good wine, still needs time. Long and tight in the tail. Best in two to 25 years.

96 Points James Halliday
Has retained very good hue; has an altogether Old World/Bordeaux slant to the savoury, black olive overtones to the blackcurrant fruit and fine, but persistent, tannins running through to the long finish. Drink to 2021.
