Huon Hooke
Very deep red purple, with blackish tints. Concentrated color and aroma: dark fruits with good supporting oak. Big palate, with lots of grunt and oodles of tannin. Rich, chewy ripe fruit, correct ripeness. Retains elegance and is not over or underripe. Seriously good cabernet. Best 2009 to 2019.

Ripe blackcurrant fruit verging on outright sweetness; some chocolate and vanilla notes plus supple tannins. Drink to 2014.
