Deep red purple, dark/blackish tint. Deep, serious nose, good cabernet berries, a trace of floral or minty lift. Less convincing in mouth: a bit salty and disjointed, some sweetness. Odd tannins which wind in and out of the structure. Odd salty/savoury thing on tip of tongue - from oak? Rather hard/tough and disjointed: a disappointment. Will it pull through in time? Still terribly young!

Power and grace; loaded with sweet oak, the quality of fruit beneath is up to the task; layered cassis, redcurrant, cedar and violet bouquet; great concentration of fruit on the palate, with a refreshingly vibrant core of acid and pure fruit; lots of slippery fine-grained tannins that counterpoint the vibrant and complex fruit with ease; wonderfully long and satisfying. Drink to 2025.
