95 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; the intense bouquet is driven primarily by blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, the oak present but well controlled; the medium to full-bodied palate has abundant, sweet (not jammy) berry fruit, the oak again in balance, the tannins particularly so. Seductively rich; most unlucky to miss out on the 2001 Top 100. Drink to 2014.
