The bouquet is mellowing nicely, but still shows off lots of char-oak and coconut aromas, and is slightly fumy (from alcohol?). There are elements of green herbs together with the ripe berry fruits. Elegant, fine, smooth, appealing texture and palate balance. Despite the oak, it's not a try-hard.

Deep garnet, bricking; the bouquet offers dried leather, crushed leaf and a lavish level of new oak; the palate shows good concentration and depth of fruit, ample fine-grained tannins and a long charry oak conclusion; drying out and despite the price tag, should be enjoyed from release in the short to medium term. Drink to 2018.
