Deep, dark red colour with a strong purple tinge. The bouquet shows leaf and mint and grassy notes. There's a stalky, green bean-like note as well, and creosote which doesn't detract. It's somewhat straightforward, while the flavour has good depth and length assisted by ample tannins which are well-measured and moderately firm. It has concentration and would repay cellaring.
