93 Points Robert Parker
Deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Private Cellar Shiraz, Mourvedre shows off pronounced cassis, macerated blackberry and black plum notes over lavender, damp earth, black olives, sage and black pepper nuances. Medium-bodied, it is nicely poised in the mouth around a core of complex, earthy fruit flavors that are offset by medium levels of finely grained tannins, refreshing acid and a long, layered finish. It is approachable now and should drink best 2014 to 2024+.
