Ranked #5 of 78 2012 Pinot Noir from Mornington Peninsula
95/100
5 Stars
Huon Hooke
This opened with creosote, black olive notes and breathed to take on very complex developed characters over oak-matured pinot fruit. It has stacks of flavour and is rich and full in the mouth. It shows lovely mellowness and is nearing maturity. (80% whole-bunch; Jimmy Watson Trophy winner)

91 Points Robert Parker
Pale to medium ruby, the 2012 Block 1 Pinot Noir has a delicate nose of fresh cranberries, pomegranate and underbrush with nuances of camphor, resin and damp earth. Light to medium-bodied and elegantly fruited in the mouth, it is very tightly knit at this youthful stage with plenty of chewy tannins and a long, earthy finish.
