Deep, dark red/purple, no off-year hints in the colour. Slightly subdued bouquet, some earth and savoury spice notes. The palate is soft and open-knit, without great distinction, but it's a pretty decent wine. The tannins are savoury and drying. A rustic style. There's an earthy note that marks it, and a licorice touch.

Fine tannin texture and lively, cool season acidity define a firm, well structured and slightly astringent Bin 28. The flavour profile carries a developed, savoury air of game meat, pan juices, dried herbs and spice, suggesting a vintage for short to medium-term consumption. Matured for 12 months in used American oak. Drink to 2021.
