Huon Hooke
Deep, bright purple/red colour and a slightly smoky, coal dust and timber bouquet. The wine is intense and full-bodied, focused and balanced, although the oak is having a contribution. A year or two in the cellar should see that mellow out. Intense and tight, finely-structured and focused, this is a stylish red wine with a big future.

Hand-picked, open-fermented and matured for 15 months in new and 1yo French 2700L casks for 15 months. Bright crimson-purple; very much in a style Tyrrell's has made its own in the last decade or more, with a super-fresh, savoury medium-bodied palate of excellent length. It goes without saying it will repay extended cellaring. Drink to 2038.
