Huon Hooke
(Scarce Earth) Very deep, dark red/purple/black hue. The bouquet is shy but correct, with smoky, sooty, toasty and black fruit aromas. It's a big wine, full-bodied and powerful, but also endowed with a degree of elegance. The tannins and fruit and acid are all in nice harmony. The flavours are chocolaty and secondary, not fruity, although there are black fruit and earthy/coal-dusty aspects as well. Long finish and smooth tannins, ending with alcohol warmth. Impressive.

Grace meets grandeur. A wonderfully dense, compact and coiled McLaren Vale shiraz, impressively dark and vibrant in hue, and deep in its black plum, blackberry and liquorice fruit. An impeccably shaped core is suspended by long, taut strands of finely textured tannin structure, drawing very long and linear through the finish. Wow. Best price direct. Drink 2022 - 2032.
