An extraordinary wine and more than worthy of its flagship status. A complex, structural red with a pitch-perfect expression of variety, region and producer. It is powerful, yet refined, with a mix of red and dark berry flavours. A finely-crafted, intense cabernet sauvignon, befitting of the world stage

The new oak is a bit more apparent in the 2015 John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon, which shows toasty, cedary aromas, hints of baking spices and dried herbs and a gorgeous core of cassis fruit. A medium to full-bodied wine at 13.4% alcohol, this has a lovely streamlined shape on the palate. It's not bold or flashy, just an elegant long-distance runner, with silky tannins, crisp acids and plenty of concentrated fruit to ensure a long, positive evolution.
