Deep, dark colour with a faint tinge of purple remaining, and a stately bouquet of cedar, cigarbox, deep-set dark berry and dried-herb characters, adding up to a wine of complexity, power, drive and profound depths. The tannins are emphatic, mouth-coating and supple, all pointing towards a cabernet with great cellaring potential, although it's a hugely rewarding drink today as well.
