Deep dark red/purple colour; black fruits and essency, licorice aromas, a tinge of toasty oak is in balance with the rich fruit. The wine is full-bodied and dense, concentrated and yet supple, with ripe, smooth tannins in abundance and excellent fleshy texture and density. It's powerful, lingering and very rewarding. Excellent wine and worth even more points in the future as it matures. The alcohol is slightly hot on the finish, which is the only reservation.
