This wine is 100% Hilltops Merlot, unusual in that Merlot generally has a good dose of Cabernet added for better mad/end palate definition. There was only one barrique (new French low-toast) of this wine made as an experiment and we thought it good enough to bottle separately bottled, about 300 bottles. We have drunk about half the quantity ourselves, but other things call, so off it goes at $10. terrific wine that would be $30 if it had a reputation. Certainly 90 points, maybe a few more. You be the judge, but you won't be disappointed.
