Two Hands Heaven's Gate Shiraz 2001

Unique wine

Reviewed by The Innocent Dingo - Tuesday 31 May 2011 08:20 PM

Very unique nose of luscious sweet black fruits with lashings of vanilla. This wine has real personality and the precocious nose seems more akin to a flamboyant Grenache than a Barossa shiraz. On the palate more of the same but a refreshing lift that is often elusive for Aussie shiraz. Nice balance and mouth feel. A hint of sweetness in the finish sealed the deal for Mrs Dingo but the acidity was enough to keep everything in check.
