This is drinking very nicely, in its prime I would say. Shows the benefits of being a multi-regional blend, of mostly South Australian and Hunter fruit, as it has some of the better attributes of both regions. Smells of blackberry bush and a little eucalypt. In the mouth, very nicely balanced, with generous berry fruit, dark chocolate and liquorice, some Hunter earthiness and cured meat, then nice powdery tannins on a good length finish. Must admit I guessed wrong on this wine, expecting it to be a Thursday nighter, when in fact it would have done Friday night, Saturday night, or even a Sunday roast proud!
