From the Barossa, a delicious and satisfying blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and cabernet franc. Popped and poured, ready to go immediately. Looks almost black in the glass, with purple edges. Nose shows herbs, some eucalypt , and earth. Tastes of concentrated, rich black fruits, with the herbs and earth in the background. Finish is long and nicely drying, with liquorice, menthol plus well balanced levels of alcohol, acid, and fine soft tannins. Drank over a couple of hours, the richness of the flavours intensified as that time passed, so there's likely plenty of life left in this vintage.
