Wolf Blass
Wolf Blass Wines International was born in 1973 when Wolf Blass started his own business, purchasing a 2.5 acre land holding with an old army shed outside Nuriootpa, at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. Acclaimed winemaker John Glaetzer joined the company in 1974. Remarkably he has won 4 Jimmy Watson trophies with the Wolf Blass Black Label. Alongside Wolf Blass, Peter Lehmann and Stephen Henschke, Glaetzer has been declared an official "Baron of the Barossa." Chris Hatcher, chief winemaker since 1996, has gained an enviable reputation as one Australia's best makers of white wine. Source: Wolf Blass Wines
