92 Points Robert Parker
The 2021 Alan's Cabernet is mineral and a little austere on the nose, with blueberry and cassis, graphite, petrichor, white pepper, iodine and dried mint in profusion. The wine is elegant and light on its feet—a stylistic attribute interestingly shared by many of the Wild Duck Creek wines, despite the often higher alcohols. In the context of this producer, this cuvée is light on the alcohol at 14.3%. The wine is fine and pure, in its way. Sealed under screw cap. Drink 2024 - 2035.
