Aldehydic nose - or is it alc? Dense ripe wine with dried fruit/fruitcake characters supported by strong sweet tannins. Big seductively chewy wine. Long. Good balance of acidity. Is it too sweet? I’d like to try it cooler. Fly spray, kero.

Sweet, slightly minty, fruit; a touch of chocolate; soft tannins and balanced oak. Drink to 2009.

Bloody lovely cabernet. Silken. Pure. Dark-fruited – blackcurrants and kalamata olives. Liqueurous. If you look hard enough, gently undergrowthy. Gently vanillin. Swaggeringly tannic, but appropriately so. This is a very good wine.
