92 Points James Halliday
Jubey style of cabernet. Will hold in the cellar but is arguably best consumed young-ish. Blackcurrant, tobacco, chocolate powder, warm spices, sweet juicy raisins. Fine, soft tannin. Momentum of warm fruit rushes out through the finish. Depth-of-winter drinking. Drink to 2024.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Reserve Cabernet has a nose of creme de cassis, dark chocolate and crushed cloves with hints of cedar, black pepper and cumin. Very big, very full and very rich in the mouth to the point of being just a bit hot, it has a medium to firm level of chewy tannins and well-placed acidity. It finishes long and a touch bitter. Drink it now to 2022+. Source: Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) February, 2014 by Lisa Perrotti-Brown
