Huon Hooke
Very deep, purple/red colour, very bright. The bouquet is clean and fresh with understated mint, but a savoury, nutty oak-derived character - although it doesn't smell strongly of US oak as some earlier vintages have. The wine is dense and rich, very full-bodied and fleshy, with lots of extract and not overtly minty, surprisingly. Tight, firm but elegant tannins.

95 Points James Halliday
A 77/33% blend, with each of the components separately matured in a mix of new and used French and American oak for 18 months. A high quality wine by any standards, reflecting the vintage conditions perfect throughout. Vibrant blackberry and plum fruit leads the way on the bouquet and palate, the oak under control at all points along the way, the tannins ripe and soft. Drink to 2032.
